Yet another excursion into Italy with Tania and her mother - the same excuse was used as in the Florence/Venice trip…visit with family. We did very little of that and Tania, her mother, her cousin Lorenzo and I headed to downtown Milano to check out the sites. I was shocked to see the magnificent Duomo in the center square. I stepped inside the Duomo and was astonished with the beauty of the church. Amazingly, this was the first time in my life that I actually felt the presence of God.

Milano is also known as the fashion capital of the world. We made a trip through the famous Galleria V. Emmanuelle where all the top-notch shops are located. People pay an arm and a leg to drink coffee inside of this establishment just to be seen. Women walk around like they got a stick shoved up their ass and everyone, more or less, look like models. According to Tania, the shops have an end of the year sale where clothes are often up to 50% off for designer clothes. In Milano, among the rich, it can be seen as a sin to be wearing last years clothes, hence the large sale at the end of the year. I ended up window shopping and collecting things for my girlfriend.
