Nine Creeks Meandering Through a Misty Forest is a relaxing journey into the hills surrounding the southwest side of West Lake. There are two paths that take the journey deep into the mountains covered with rows of Dragon Well Tea Bushes or into Dragon Well Village; here you can find yourself a cup of fresh green tea brewed with clear water from the streams. Take a deep breath and enjoy the rolling mountains around you, covered in green like that of traditional Chinese landscape paintings.

There is a notable Qing Dynasty scholar by the name of Yu Qu Yuan (1821-1907) who believed that Nine Creeks destination was the finest in Hangzhou's West Lake area. He characterized the elements of natural beauty with a poem:

The hills, range after range
The trails, winding and climbing
The creeks, murmuring and gurgling
The trees, high and lowly
